Welcome to the Bromley Mytime Arts Development pages! Mytime’s Arts Development Team offering Bromley residents a range of arts opportunities and provision across the borough.

The small but dedicated team includes 2 part-time Arts Development Managers, Kiaran Hall and Rachel Nelken and a part-time Arts Coordinator Toni Reeves who takes particular responsibility for the Arts Schools Service. Together as a team we are passionate about bringing the arts and cultural opportunities to Bromley and are working hard to put Bromley on the cultural map!

The Arts Development Department work covers the following main areas:

  • Arts Schools Service – a unique service offered by Mytime (partnered with Sports Development schools service) which utilises the expertise of local artists to deliver workshops across a range of arts forms in schools.
     
  • Representation on local, regional and sub-regional arts associations e.g. Bromley Arts Panel, or the South London Arts Partnership, to ensure that Bromley and Bromley residents are included in cultural plans and government initiatives.
     
  • Develop and strengthen creative partnerships with local arts and youth organisations, including the borough’s Specialist Performing Arts Schools, to improve and increase partnership working to extend the offer available for children and families to participate in the arts.
     
  • Bromley Arts Festival –working with the support of the Arts Panel, and in partnership with the community arts delivery organisation Parrabbola, Arts Development are working to determine the way forward for the future, including investigating opportunities to incorporate the event into the forthcoming Cultural Olympiad celebrations.
     
  • Commissioned project work such as transitional project MOSS (Moving Onto Secondary School) and the South London Street Arts Academy
    Development of new initiatives such as the ArtsTrain project bringing together local partnerships and sourcing external funding for the borough from funders such as the Arts Council and Youth Music.
     
  • Community Arts Team – Mytime recruits, trains and manages a fantastic team of artists who deliver workshops in schools and outreach settings across the borough.
